Help needed to continue our preparation of stakes and binders in our newly coppiced hazel grove for use on site and for other local projects. The offcuts of these will go to allotmenteers on the neighbouring site for pea and bean sticks. A great chance to come and enjoy helping out for the benefit of nature at Boundary Brook, learn about ecology and enjoy being physically outside in a peaceful inspiring wild place.
There are other conservation tasks also available if you prefer – to weave dead hedges, protect coppice stools, remove invasive perennials from the grassland, planting out woodland flora.
As ever, guidance and training are on hand and you’re welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as you like.
All help is greatly appreciated. Bring a hot flask and snack.
PLEASE NOTE All events are subject to any covid guidance in place at the time. To help us plan tasks, please let us know if you are coming. Email: info@ouwg.org.uk
